Install guide
Clean and prep - Make sure the surface you’re sticking to is clean and ready for install. Remove any debris by wiping with a microfibre cloth and isopropanol.
Positioning - tape your vinyl in position using low tack masking tape. Measure to make sure it is where you want it. Then use a spirit level to ensure the vinyl is straight. Double check your measurements twice before applying.
Reveal glue - Create a hinge between the surface and the graphic using masking tape. Begin to remove the backing paper from the application tape.
Application - Lay the graphic down to the surface, keeping taught at all times. Once in position, apply the graphic using a squeegee applicator. Apply good pressure from the middle outwards, overlapping at every stroke.
Reveal graphic - Pick a corner of the transfer tape to get it started and then pull the the tape back flat on itself to reveal the graphic transfer underneath. Take extra care with small text to make sure it is adhered to the surface whilst removing.
Tips for setting up artwork
We typically accept file formats such as PDF, AI, EPS, and high-resolution JPEG or PNG. For optimal print quality,
Please provide images at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI (dots per inch)
Ensure that any text is converted to outlines or embedded in the file. This helps avoid any font issues during printing.
For large files please send at 10, 25 or 50% scale.
For standard prints please add 3mm bleed all round for trimming, please add crop marks to indicate bleed.
For large format printing (walls, windows) Please supply artwork with 25mm bleed on all edges, make sure that no important elements of your design fall within this bleed area.
Set-up cut paths for any cut-to-shape elements, save this path on a separate layer called ‘CutContour’ and as a Spot-colour to avoid it being printed.
CMYK colour format is best for printing. We can also match to Pantone codes.
